Summary

The Membership Analyst position reports to the Director of Membership and assists the Director, Membership Managers, and Practice Manager in various analysis, reporting, data maintenance, and performance improvement. Additionally, the position is trained in and used as a backup for coverage of other Membership functions, as needed. The position runs queries, organizes data, performs analysis and generates useful information. Performs audits as directed, reports findings and proposes suggestions for improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops, maintains, and queries databases and datasets.
  • Extracts data from multiple sources and creates integrated analytic datasets to create reports in the desired formats, addressing the desired outcome and results.
  • Creating, maintaining, and updating project management systems and trackers on the status of requests and projects.
  • As changes are implemented, monitoring results and impacts, assessing process efficiency and effectiveness, provide feedback on improvement, and ensuring that related documentation is current and accurate.
  • Creating reports in prescribed formats and methods, including visual flow charts, graphs and charts, trended, along with written details and summary of analysis.
  • Presenting reports and analysis to large audiences.
  • Works numerous reports, received from both internal and external sources, reconcile internal data and make updates as needed to maintain accurate and timely membership information.
  • Creating written materials, inclusive of manuals and flow charts, which define the instruction of processes and procedures related to the position.
  • Works with various members of the organization to collect and document the analytical needs and desired findings of Membership data.
  • Assisting with the submission and tracking of Information Systems tickets submitted by Membership.
  • Distinguishing user requests from the underlying true needs to attain desired outcomes and results.
  • Serves as a backup to other Membership needs, including but not limited to: front office, medical records, benefits, centralized scheduling, and enrollment.
  •  Performs other duties as assigned in keeping with the growth and general responsibilities of the position.

Skills & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1 year of required experience, OR
  • Associate’s degree in a related field and 2 years of required experience, OR
  • High School Diploma and 4 years of required experience

Experience:

  • Data management and analysis experience, AND
  • System and/or process design, AND
  • Creating written procedure, workflows, manuals, or reports, AND
  • Progressively increased responsibility, AND
  • Intermediate use of Microsoft Office programs, including but not limited to: Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerBi and Power Point

Certifications:

  • Fingerprint Clearance obtained no later than the first 90 days from hire.
  • CPR and First Aid obtained no later than the first 60 days from hire.
  • Arizona Driver’s License, proof of current insurance, and willingness to use personal vehicle. Driver license is an essential requirement for performing duties for this position. Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no more than 2 moving violations or a license suspension in past 3 years.

Skills:

  • Ability to use a variety of computer software for researching, tracking, data entry, and reporting information.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of, and compliance with, HIPAA, privacy regulations, and electronic health systems.
  • Ability to implement and manage a diverse array of solutions to meet organizational objectives.
  •  Ability to proactively handle issues and troubleshoot unforeseen barriers within the practice.
  • Ability to apply tactful, adaptable, and professional communication skills with a variety of personalities.
  • Ability to work with people with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage high profile, deadline driven requests efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance, demeanor, and interaction with staff, members, and visitors.
  • Effectively manage multifaceted responsibilities.

Pay Information:

  • Starting Pay Rate: $17.00
  • Pay Comments: Pay rate based on years of work experience relevant to this position.
