MEET ANITA SELLERS, RN

Anita Sellers, Registered Nurse and Nursing Team Lead at CODAC’s East site, knew when she graduated from college with her bachelor of science degree in nursing that she wanted to devote her career to working with persons with psychiatric illnesses.

A registered nurse for 24 years, Anita has spent most of her career working with children who have behavioral health needs including those in juvenile detention. “Pediatric psychology is my specialty,” shares a smiling Anita.

Looking for a change, Anita joined CODAC in 2010. “Working with adult members has shown me the whole life cycle of behavioral health,” reflects Anita. “I enjoy my members and have learned a lot from them,” she continues.

Anita’s role at CODAC as a registered nurse requires her to work closely with the behavioral medical health professionals, care managers and front office staff at East. According to Anita, she provides four essential services to our members:

  • Providing Med Bridge Assistance
  • Managing Her Caseload
  • Taking Walk-In Appointments
  • Answering Phone Calls from Members in Need

Anita’s advice to other behavioral health professionals is, “take care of yourself.”
